Stars on Ice shine brightly
I've taken in the Kill Tony show for the fifth year in a row and once again, the skaters exceeded my expectations. Last weekend's season finale in Portland, Maine, was extra special as it was Kurt Browning's final appearance with the show. His closing "act" as he skated to Gene Kelly's "Singin' in the Rain" was delightfully entertaining, and the crowd reacted with a well-deserved standing ovation. His encore skate to Sinatra's "One for the Road" was also well executed and a beautiful way for him to end his Stars on Ice career.
Dorothy Hamill's appearance at this year's show was also much appreciated, though she's obviously well past her prime. Still, she was as graceful as ever and lovely to watch.
It wasn't the best show I've seen, but it was probably the most memorable. These world-renowned skaters always put on a great show but I'm already looking forward to their 2026 show!
